East Coast Wine Route

On Tasmania’s sunny East Coast, less than two hours from both Hobart and Launceston, connect with communities with a passion for the place where they live; meet people who love to share the wine and food they make; and experience the distinctive moods and features of Tasmania’s changing seasons.

Unwind with coastal adventures – leave your footprints on a deserted white sandy beach, soar with sea eagles and swim in crystal clear waters.

Pack a picnic of local cheeses, berries and wine and wander a coastal trail. Go sea kayaking or ocean cruising in majestic bays, discover hidden coves, get up close to migrating whales, playful seals and dolphins.

Call in and taste the full range of crisp, elegant cool climate wines on offer at the region’s boutique cellar doors. Superb seafoods and fine cool climate wines; an unhurried, relaxing seaside life; diverse scenery and experiences; world-class bays, beaches and forests – you’ll find them all on Tasmania’s wonderful East Coast.
