2021 Tasmanian Trade Update

Hello from your friends over at Wine Tasmania!

The past 18 months have been a rocky ride and we know it’s been incredibly tough (and bloody hard work) for all of you. We’re certainly prouder than ever of our Tasmanian wine and hospitality representatives.

We'd like to thank you for all your efforts throughout these challenging times, particularly the massive support you've shown for local small businesses, including wine. There are a few exciting events coming up and we’d love to see you there!

Love (and see you soon),

Wine Tasmania xx

New Release Wine Tasting Events

Join us on Monday 30th of August at Tamar Ridge and Monday 6th of September at MONA to chat with our producers and enjoy tastings of their newest releases. Each event will run from 2pm to 5pm, so pop in at whatever time is best for you. RSVP is essential for catering purposes – reserve your place at the Tamar Ridge event here and the MONA event here.

National Trade Visit

In late September and October this year (Covid-willing), we are inviting some friends from the mainland wine trade to spend two days exploring the best of Tassie wine – with a few other special Tasmanian treats thrown in – on us. We’d love to invite our locals to come along too. You deserve it! We're offering two places in each of the four visits (all conducted on a Monday and Tuesday), eight places in total. We'll cover transport and all "official" activities on the two day itinerary, as well as accommodation if you need to travel. All we need from you is to complete a simple application form by the 20th of August.

Tasmanian Wine List of the Year

Applications are open now! Like you, we’re proud to be Tasmanian. We love nothing more than opening a wine list at one of our local venues to be spoilt for choice with a range of brilliant local wines. So, if you proudly offer a range of Tassie wines, enter the Tasmanian Wine List of the Year competition. Nominations can be submitted at the link and entries close on 7th of September, followed by a People’s Choice voting campaign commencing on 15th of September.
