International Cool Climate Symposium - Tasmania 2012PRESENTATIONS NOW AVAILABLE - click here THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO PARTICIPATED IN THIS EVENT - WE WERE DELIGHTED TO HOST IT! The Tasmanian wine community, through Wine Tasmania and in partnership with the Australian Wine Research Institute and Tasmanian Institute of Agricultural Research, hosted the 8th International Cool Climate Symposium for Viticulture and Oenology (ICCS) in Hobart in February, 2012. Tasmania is the only Australian state where its entire grape production is genuinely cool climate and we believe that Tasmanian wines are 'punching considerably above their weight' in relation to our tiny fraction of national production and the relative youth of the current industry. Presentation of the 8th ICCS program is undoubtedly the most ambitious and exciting project that we have ever undertaken. We were delighted with the keynote speakers and the quality of abstracts and workshops that have been received. We were also excited to present an engaging social program, providing an opportunity to share Tasmania’s many delights with our ICCS friends and colleagues. Andrew Hood |
