Tasmania Unbottled 2010 returns this August, bringing the best of Tasmanian wine and food to Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.
Twenty-five of the island’s top and emerging wineries will showcase more than 130 award-winning and new release wines – from world class sparklings and pinot noirs to classy chardonnays and rieslings that have the wine world buzzing.
Consumers will be able to meet some of the state’s best winemakers, discover emerging producers, compare wines in selected varietal wine flights and sample some of Tasmania’s finest seasonal produce.
Wine Tasmania’s annual regional showcase is designed to show Australian wine lovers, sommeliers, restaurateurs and retailers the depth, breadth and exceptional quality and purity of our cool climate wines.
Consumer and trade visitors will be able to delve deeper into the wonders of Tasmanian wine with the annual tutored tasting. This year, the theme is “Shining Lights” conducted by Max Allen, wine writer for The Weekend Australian. The tutored tasting is now a well-established highlight for which pre-registration is essential.
