TASMANIA UNBOTTLED, Australia’s largest showcase of Tasmanian wine and produce, is on again this July in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Confirmed event details are as follows:

  • Wednesday 25 July - SYDNEY, Dockside at Cockle Bay Wharf
  • Tuesday 31 July - MELBOURNE, Zinc at Federation Square
  • Brisbane details coming soon

A trade / media session will be held in Sydney and Melbourne with a tasting between 11.00am and
5.00pm. A comprehensive masterclass exclusively for Sommeliers Australia members is also on offer. The trade masterclass will be based on the very well received International Cool
Climate Symposium workshop facilitated by Julian Alcorso and Dr Andrew Pirie - “Zero to 200+ -
differences between actual and perceived sugar levels in Riesling wines”.

(Please note: eligible trade participants include individuals that are actively involved in the purchase of wholesale wine as part of their employment.  Verification of employment for both media and trade participants will be required at the time of booking and upon entry.)

The consumer session in each city will be held between 5.30pm and 8.30pm and includes a
masterclass on cheese and wine matching, featuring the Bruny Island Cheese Company.

Exciting developments are underway regarding consumer and trade activities in Brisbane and
will be announced shortly.

This year’s event will also comprise a range of surrounding Tasmanian wine activities including
feature winemaker dinners held at prominent city restaurants and tastings hosted by specialist
retailers.

Participating Tasmanian wine producers include Barringwood Park, Bay of Fires, Bream Creek,
Cape Bernier, Clover Hill, Dalrymple, Derwent Estate, Devil's Corner, Grey Sands, Jansz, Josef
Chromy, Moores Hill, Native Point, Pipers Brook, Pirie Tasmania, Spring Vale and Tamar Ridge.

The Tasmania Unbottled 2012 event follows an exceptional year for the island state, with
Tasmania collecting the Jimmy Watson Trophy, Best Pinot Noir of both the Sydney International
and International Cool Climate Wine Shows, Champion Wine of the National Cool Climate Wine
Show, Australian Gourmet Traveller Wine’s Winemaker of the Year and Young Winemaker of the
Year, to name but a few.

TASMANIA UNBOTTLED 2012 will provide an unrivalled opportunity for wine enthusiasts, wine
trade and media to experience first-hand some of the wines produced by these award winning vineyards and winemakers as well as current vintage releases.
