Tasmanian Vineyard of the Year 2012

The Royal Agricultural Society of Tasmania (RAST) conducts annually a competition for the State’s vineyards - the Richard Langdon Trophy for the Tasmanian Vineyard of the Year. The objective of the Richard Langdon Trophy is to promote a high level of viticultural management in Tasmania leading to the production of quality fruit from sustainable management systems.

Post Event Report: Sparkling Wine Benchmark Tasting - October 2011

Wine Tasmania hosted a Benchmark Tasting after the AGM at Roesevears on Thursday 27 October 2011. The theme of the event was "Sparkling Wine", and participants were presented with Vintage  and Rosé sparkling wines from Tasmania benchmarked against wines of renown from Australia and overseas. 

The panel of Natalie Fryar, Andrew Pirie and Peter Dredge brought a wealth of information on the wines, the styles and the winemaking, which was added to by great participant discussion on a multitude of topics.
